| Culture London 20 years of cooperation with The Coffee Machines Company |
Rancilio has a wonderful story to tell; a story of an Italian company that has successfully combined skill and passion for producing professional espresso coffee machines into an outstanding blend over the years.
There are many people in this story and they have come together to give it new meaning and strength thanks to the Rancilio family and the ''double-R'' brand.
An important chapter in this story tells of the meeting with Olmi family, which owns ''The Coffee Machine Company'' and part of the Drury Tea & Coffee group. In the words of Giorgio Rancilio this twenty-year partnership combines, ''excellent results in business with a real friendship based on mutual respect and admiration''.
The Rancilio family has organised a surprise dinner for the English team in a characteristic location in London to celebrate this important occasion.
Rancilio also created a commemorative logo to celebrate the twentieth anniversary, which was featured on stand D82 at the Caffè Culture 2010 trade exhibition held in London from 23rd to 25th June. ''CMC'' - our distributor for the United Kingdom - also took part in this exhibition, which represented a fundamental opportunity for telling this story.
Caffè Culture 2010 is also one of the leading events for the HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant and Catering) industry and provides Europe with a benchmark and a place in which to network for the market's principal players.
Support from SCAE (Speciality Coffee Association of Europe) and the eagerly-awaited final of the World Barista Championships provided added interest and variety for the renowned event.
Fifty baristas from all over the world battled it out for the world title, which was won by Michael Phillips from America. The contest involved an overall assessment of the baristas' technical and professional skills, communication abilities and their affability, appearance and attention to detail.
During the trade exhibition, visitors also had the chance to get a close-up look at the YouSteam technology which features on the semiautomatic machines as well (the new, totally automatic and ergonomic steam wand that enables baristas to easily create a soft yet extremely compact), and admire the entire range of Rancilio and Egro products, included their exciting new ideas: from the latest version of the Classe 6, Tall, to Egro One, the new fully-automatic coffee machine developed by Egro Coffee Systems.
Caffè Culture 2010 offered more events and new products than ever before and represented yet another opportunity for our company to show and prove to Europe the value and the history of a jewel in the Made in Italy crown. |
