| 50 years of dedication and hard work 50 years ago a man had a dream...and after working for a decade as a technician for an innovative, farsighted company he decided to try his luck by setting up his own business and introducing the Venezuelan market to the coffee machine and its traditions. So in 1960 he founded Taller Giorgio, a family-run business founded on a dedicated work ethic. Today the company is known as Distribuidora Giorgio, and is now celebrating 50 years of history and tradition. What originally started off as a dream has now become a symbol in Venezuela's espresso coffee industry. Initially Distribuidora Giorgio mainly offered technical support and services and then started to sell spare parts for coffee machines but was joined in 1970 by the Rancilio family to bring all-Italian coffee machines to Venezuela. Not everyone manages to accomplish 50 years of hard work and dedication! This is why the great Distribuidora Giorgio decided to celebrate this anniversary with an event on Saturday, 6th March, at the Multifunctional Area of the Portuguese Centre. The event brought together distinguished figures from the Italian and Venezuelan communities and the new generations paid tribute to the organisation's founder, Giorgio Taurchini, who used the occasion to thank the company's suppliers customers and employees for their unfailing help and support over the years. Mr Taurchini opened the celebrations by thanking everyone and the party continued with the Conseguenze Orchestra and Claudio Nazoa, a comedian Venezuelan. Amongst the guests were Giorgio and Silvia Rancilio, who represented Rancilio at the event. During the evening Giorgio Rancilio proudly praised Mr Taurchini: ''An excellent trustworthy partner who has enabled us to expand our business in Venezuela and transform Rancilio into a leading brand in this market. Ever since we began our partnership with Distribuidora Giorgio we have experienced nothing but reliability and top-class service in addition to outstanding professionalism. I?m sure that we will be working with the company for many years to come.'' |
